Custom Triple Gauge to replace clock

Thought I'd post a picture of a gauge I've been working on and see what everyone thinks. I've built a bunch of dual combo gauges as clock replacements and a few people asked if it was possible to put 3 gauges in the small case. I didn't think it would fit so initially I said no.

I'm building a couple of these now for some Pelican friends so if there is interest, I'll keep everyone posted on the progress. I'm hoping to have these first 2 done in a couple of weeks. Since the space is so limited, there will be a small box to house the circuit to control the AFR gauges and that will need to be tucked behind the gauge out of sight.

JB... nicely done. A few questions. Does the black within the gauge match the stock black of the other gauges? Am assuming the AFR indicates left and right banks... of so, sensors are needed on each side. Are you providing the sensors with the gauge or spec'ing what sensors to use?

Cool gauge.
Any idea on pricing?

Nice gauge :)

I really like the gauge.

What O2 sensor would be needed to run the AFR gauges?

It's tricky to answer your color match question because Porsche/VDO used several different finishes over the years. I've even had original sets from the same car that no longer match because the way the different finishes have aged. I've done well over 100 gauges with this black and so far no complaints. It's obviously not a perfect match with every set but it matches very well with most.

The gauge does not include the AFR wideband controllers or sensors. They require a 0-5V analog signal from a wideband controller. Most of the controllers (AEM, Innovate, PLX, ect) provide this output. So for this particular configuration, with 2 AFR gauges, you would need either a dual wideband controller or 2 separate controllers.

This was the prototype small triple gauge so now that I have the parts developed I should be able to build other configurations. One of the AFR gauges could be replaced with something else.

Like the larger triple and quad gauges I've been building, these will vary in price depending on what 3 gauges are inside and whether or not a core is provided. However, they do take a while to build and the parts are all handmade so they aren't cheap. This configuration is going to be about $450. I would say $400-$550 is probably the range

Answer is above. Almost any wideband controller will work to provide the required 0-5V analog signal to drive these gauges
