Who machines 915 cases?
Unfortunately Wevo isn't doing it anymore. I know about CMS. Are there other's out there who do the work? My main case races and final drive case races are both spinning.

I found out the same when I needed a set done. Wevo seems to be slowly going into retirement (unfortunately). I think the kidney shaped single piece insert was the optimal solution but sadly no longer an option.
So, plan "B" was CMS. I was happy with the service provided by CMS. Highly recommended. I also purchased a single piece bearing retainer and a billet side plate from them. Wevo parts are really nice but one-stop shopping at CMS was convenient.

I spoke with Wevo a short while ago, and although they are not fixing cases sent to them, they do have units in stock that they are selling. Otherwise CMS is very reasonable.

I had TwinSpark in Holland machne in a Wevo insert for me a few years ago. It cost, but I’ll never worry about those bearings ever again. Or anything else I went over-the-top on with that gearbox. (Sorry this doesn’t help the OP in Iowa. Good luck.)

You cannot go wrong with CMS. I use them regularly, they've never let me down.

We originally developed the insert with them many years ago (like 20) and I’ve considered bringing it back since he’s no longer doing it. I just haven’t found a machinist that I want to work with on it, yet. |
