Quick question re. Wevo motor mounts

Afternoon All, Getting ready to replace the motor mounts in my 79' SC and the Wevo with the black pillows arrived today. I know this is probably a very stupid question but as a pretty novice wrencher I would appreciate the help. The Wevo's come with a Schnorr washer and I'm unsure where in the assembly it should be placed? Can anyone enlighten me please? Many Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it goes under the nut in a nut/bolt situation and under the bolt where there is no nut used, as in into a threaded hole. I believe the purpose is to stop the fastener from coming undone.

Again, not 100% sure in your situation but that's where I'd put it.

Next best solution is to send Wevo a quick email.

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank, I was thinking under the bolt as well but would love more opinions. Planning on doing this one tomorrow and I know I won't reach anyone at Wevo before then. Thanks!

Technical Note: The M12 bolt through the Engine or Transmission mount should be tightened to 40 ft/lbs or 55 Nm. The M12 Schnorr (serrated) washer should be installed directly under the head of the M12 bolt. The M8 hardware should be tightened to 18 ft/lbs or 25 Nm using the original arrangement of washer and nut.

From the wevo web site.

You're good to go! I always wanted wevo engine mounts. Did you get some for the gearbox as well?

Thanks Psycho! That's exactly what I was looking for. I should have checked the Wevo website. No, I got the cabriolet club sport mounts for the tranny. Putting them in tomorrow. I put in the new Numeric racing shifter and coupler today and once the new tranny mounts go in I'll try and fine tune the coupler. Thanks again!

Tommy, Good Plan. That's what I did with the Wevo PSJ. Adjusted after tranny and motor mounts were installed. Works perfectly.
