Big Azz Screwdriver

I have occasional need to turn a big machine screw. I’m trying to find a slotted screwdriver with a blade wider that 1/2”. 11/16” would be ideal, but I’d settle for 5/8”. Endless googling of “5/8 slotted screwdriver” hasn’t revealed anything over 1/2”. Any ideas?

Get a cold chisel and grind it down with an angle grinder…. If you can weld you can add a socket to the end or leverage handles to it.

How big of a machine screw? How much leverage do you need? Search for "coin driver" or "drag link socket". See if either of those fit your use case. https://www.amazon.com/PB-Swiss-PB-8126-SwissGrip-Plastic/dp/B00VTLR01Q https://www.amazon.com/Williams-SB-40-Drive-Socket-16-Inch/dp/B007YR9ZXK You can make your own tool out of flat stock as well.

When I was trying to remove the big ass screw in the rear seat hinge on my 911 I finally bought a hammer screwdriver at the local tool store. It came with several wide screwdriver tips. And smacking the end of the driver helped loosen the screw. I had never before needed a hammer screwdriver. All my big ol' screw drivers had handles that were way too long to use back there.
