Removing front spoiler and lower valance?
On my list of things to address on my ‘88 Cabriolet is a dented lower front valance. Not horrible but it has a wave in it that is like to address. I tried using a paintless dent removal tool and it pulled some of the paint off, not good. Thinking I need to do it right and remove the valance and have it repaired and possibly repainted. Cannot see how it is attached and the fasteners that hold the front spoiler on are impossible to access in the middle. Anyone have experience in removing these?

Iv got a video on dropping the bumper for trim replacement. I suspect thats what youll have to do to get to the valance screws

You'll also need to disconnect the fog lamp wiring at the fuse box. Mark

a) the TURBO-lip is attached to the lower valance with multiple solid through-bolted brackets.
b) the lower valance is a single piece attached at 4 points: - left and right to bracket in foreward wheel well - two bolts from inside of the frunk if you have a carrera oil cooler (right) and the wiper-watertank (left) installed it is not easy to reach the left and right fix points. Anyway you have to start with these. c) the main bumper stays in place and doesn't need removing
