Where does the fuel vapor line attach to the air filter on a 69 MFI car

There are 2 fuel vapor lines in the engine bay one connects to the engine shroud, the other should connect to the air filter assembly. I can’t figure out on a 1969 air cleaner where the vapor/evap line should attach. The 70/71 cleaners have a tee on the back one for vapor and one for oil tank breather, but my 70 seems to have a 69 air cleaner and it only has a fitting for the oil tank.

Plan b is to find a tee with 2 1 inch sides and 1 1/2 side and hook that up…

Thanks

B

'69 cars did not have fuel vapor recovery systems , so no place for the hose on a '69 air filter housing .

You could go with a Euro vapor system like what is shown in post 14 of this thread: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/299053-tank-ventilation-mfi-diagrams.html

Fire, carb change, "hat" style filters, and confusion...They changed the box from metal to plastic and back once or twice at random points of time between '69-71...They all have slightly different nozzles and shapes and they can all sort of kind of be used together with some monkeying...

My guess is someone changed it to hats and then someone else changed it back to stock...but missed by a hair.

Perhaps. I’ve got records to 85, so that’s 15 years of mystery! Another mystery… I have a mix of plastic and metal throttle Venturi under the cleaner…
