Where does this part go?

I’m wondering if the pelican brain trust can guide me regarding the location for this part? See pics below of both sides of the part.

I removed it during disassembly of the front end of my wife’s 79 SC to replace rusted bodywork. Most of the parts I bagged in Ziploc‘s with a reference to the Katalog page and part number to guide me in reassembly. However I completely missed bagging & tagging this one, and I am not seeing it in any of the photos I took during disassembly.

For the life of me I can’t think where it will go when I start the reassembly, And I don’t really want to start reassembly hoping that I will figure it out along the way… With my luck I’ll get everything else put back together and still have this part sitting around

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

Does it go in the wheel well to cover black trim along the bottom 1/3 of the passenger and driver side of the car. . .

At the end of rocker panel. See the rock chips all over the one end? That side goes down.
Should be one per side.

Does it cover the end of the bottom rubber trim at the wheel well?

Yes it looks like all of you are correct! That’s position #9 in the Katalog page below, now i can bag & tag it!

There’s a similar one, position 10 on the same page (not shown in the pic below), for the trim at the rear wheel well, but those are still in place since i’m working on the front section only.

Thanks for helping solve the mystery. Now, if I could just figure out where I put the one for the other side…
