‘87 Carrera 3.2 engine running too cold

Hi!

My 3.2 has been running too cold ever since I got it 5 years ago. As you will see from the pictures the needle is just above the 120 mark. It only goes up to 180 on a trackday. I already replaced the thermostat that feeds oil to the front oil cooler, it hardly changed.

As you will see all vents going to cabin heating have been deleted (Im from the Philippines and we don’t need heating here).

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Randy

No pictures.

But do you simply believe what the gauge tells you or have you measured the exact temp of the oil line ?
Does that match your gauge reading ?

You could have an issue with the oil temp sensor or the gauge ?
