A GOOD day!

Well, I dug in this morning, getting ready for my second DE next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. I did my first valve adjustment (as well an changed the oil) and put in new plugs. All went well.

An added "bonus": when I took of my rear wheels for the valve thing, one of the tires had 2 well sealed/embedded nails. I'd hoped to go thru one more DE before getting new rear tires, but what the heck, I ordered a couple of S-03's which will be in Monday. I was somewhat concerned about the stickiness of the old tires as we'll have all 4 turns on the oval (speed potential!) and an infield portion in the course. It's supposed to be what they used for ALMS in the past. I'm pretty pumped up now with the fact I'll have new rubber back there now.

Another bonus was the weather, instead of 94 humid degrees like we had yesterday, it was high 70's today, perfect wrenching weather!

K9:

Thanks for the advice. I thought about that, and I'm going to HAVE to drive the car a bit this week.

Ed, I will be at TMS at least on Sunday, let me know if you need any 'pit' help or something.

Over the weekend at TMS there is also a Radio Control car competition (qualifier for the Nationals) in the 1/8 scale, you want to stop by and see those machines 'fly' at speeds well above 80 mph.

Weather for the weekend looks also great mid/high 80's wil high 60's in the morning.. not too hot yet..

Good luck

Hey Jordi, it will be great to see you, please do stop by. I'm hoping the girl will run well, with just oil and tire pressure checks between runs. I'll check out the R/C cars.
