City light bulb socket

Hi friends,

Based on research, I understand that the city light (or parking light) bulb socket you can find on euro carreras is not sold separately. That's a bummer because I need to replace one

Do you know of a way to get one by any chance?

Thanks a lot!

Google BA 9 bulb holder or BA 9 socket or BA 9 bulb socket. There are some vendors that sell this socket. Most of them in Europe .

The ones that 540964 suggested, are for BA 7 bulbs used in the instruments and dash lights. I am not sure if those sockets can be used for your application.

Here a BA 7 and BA 9 socket and bulb.
The larger one is the BA 9. The one you are looking for.

Did you find the BA9 holders ?
I found those in ebay and very cheap, but it took 5 weeks for delivery.
There are several for sale there, here an example:

This is what I received:

And how they fit:

Quoting myself from a post 4 years ago:

For the Bosch city light bulb holder, you could wander into a Ducati dealer and ask them for a couple of 521.4.005.1A "lamp holder" parts. The part used on Monsters is identical except for an extra spade for ground (rubber mounted headlight). But they list for $15 a pop.

Mid-70's and up airhead BMWs used the same Bosch headlight, part # for their city light bulb holder seems to be 01-111957397.

And that's probably the actual Bosch part # - because Google says that's also the part # for a VW Bug, Super Beetle, Ghia, Bus, Thing etc "dash bulb holder", and the photo looks identical to the Euro city light/US front marker bulb holder, single spade and all; $2.50 each.
I bought a few from some bug shop in SoCal.

For whatever it's worth, I got some nice Hella 10W BA9s bulbs from "The Rock" for $2.53 a piece in case anybody's looking for a nice source for bulbs. I went with 10W to make them a bit brighter than typical 4W

Sockets are easy to source overseas too. 10 pack from Aliexpress is under $3. Has anyone wired the city lights to come on with ignition like a daytime running light would?
