Dansk exhaust modifying

I have a car with the Dansk RSR header and exhaust, sounds great! The problem can be the lawmen, here in Norway they don't like it.

I have found picture of a modified setup, anyone with experience?

Her is also my car on youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_rVqQluQ5o

Hi. I have no experience w/ that modified set-up but one way to lower the noise level is to install Quiet Riot baffles-https://www.rocky-mountain-performance.com/

Good luck!

Is it just me? What looks to be support tabs under the main inlet pipes could be levers to control internal valves to redirect the exhaust to an alternate noise-reduction path/section. If so, a great idea for noise restricted regs. and to maintain neighbor relations.

Better yet, make the gate valves servo-controlled for cockpit-ease (and to adjust the preferred exhaust EFX). Could be the best of both worlds.

+1 that those tabs look like manual cut out levers of a sort.

Why else would there be an alternate route for the exhaust into the muffler?

Becuase this muffler is 100% straight thru.. They actually don't have anything inside.. It is hollow. The pictured one in my post was brand new drop shipped to me and was amazed how it was empty..

With all due respect, your photo; the muffler attached to the 914-6 headers doesn't appear to be the same as the OP's "4-in" muffler. AFAIK, only the manufacturer knows what's inside and/or what mods were performed by a possible third party.

Ben, that looks nice but what did you do precisely? It looks like you nodded the H.E.to work with the 914/6 GT style exhaust. Did you do anything to quiet the muffler down?
