911 powered vw bus - dash air

So, we have built a 3.2 911 powered 1971 VW bus and we have grafted in a 911 dash - sounds horrible but looks awesome. The dash is from a 1978 911 (I beleive) and we are trying to route the air from the heater tube to the slanted side vents. When I look at parts disgrams it is not clear which ducting parts connect to these vents. Any idea?

The vents I am taling about are highlighted in this example pic

911 powered vw bus - dash air

On the firewall just hidden behind the heater tube from the engine bay is a small ~40mm metal hole- that leads to the side vents.

Here’s a photo from the classic retrofit install manual, ignore the black two-port piece as that’s specific to the classic retrofit ac system, regular Porsche hvac system has a single hose there leading to the blend valve.

Also, we want photos and a video of someone ripping that bus around.

FWIW, those little vents are pretty useless. Not as aesthetically pleasing, but you can might be able to use the Griffiths vents that mount to the bottom of the dash. They come with a big diameter heat shrink type tubing to tie the flexible ducting of the car to the back of the vent.

I have to disagree- my Classic Retrofit blower pushes enough air out of those side vents to reach my chest. Those coupled with the dash vent hitting my face makes all the difference in the world. And I haven’t even charged my ac yet- I’m just talking about air movement.
