Thanks to this Board; I've spent a few more hard earned bucks at our hosts eStore. Actually the tech articles make it so easy; lots of pics and info to help me make up my mind; otherwise I'd probably never've ventured.
Received my order via US Postal Service (took 2 weeks, not bad) and couldn't wait to get to work. I put the crest on the wheel and installed the wheel first! Love that wheel. (my center peice does not have symetrical gaps on the horn peice???) Put in my mats and snapped a few pics. My pedals came black from Rennlist (through host) and sent them back for brushed aluminum as ordered. Had an Alpine "radar sensor" alarm put in for when it's parked with the top down and put in a new stereo system; Pioneer CD player with 6 disc stacker, amp and 6 speakers - sounds great! Now I'm ready to drive down to Osoyos on Sunday to meet Doug and some West Coast Porsche owners for lunch...... Before: After:

Rob, asthetically I love that style of rim. I have a black targa, and would love to have those rims in gloss black, except I can't bring myself to trade the cast for the forged Fuchs (oops, almost mistyped that, yikes).
The new wheel looks great.

Looks great Rob. Another thing to do is the temp gauge. They look cooler with the degrees marked.
I had that wheel on an 86 I once owned and liked it but have yet to put one on the SC. Looks like the gauges are more visable with the new style. Cheers Bob

Anyone who's ever put on a wheel knows it's only a 10 minute job. Didn't snap pic2 until after supper..... good eye though, I like that!

So far I'm still resisting the 'dark side' - my 86 still has the stock steering wheel - cause that's how it came from the factory... |

Is that a speaker right below where your pull the handle to open the bonnet? Is that aftermarket? I love my 930S wheel too!

PDACPA,
Yes, that's an old Polk mid/tweeter pod, very popular in the 80's.

Very nice wheels. Can you give us any details on them?

Sorry I missed those questions??? Threads move so fast to page 3/4 now adays.
Yes those are aftermarket tweeter, really cool how they surface mount and they sound great. Wheels are C2 Cup, I've seen them in Tweeks catalogue, not sure if Pelican carries them. They came with the car and I like them, Thanks. As for the gauges; I bought the white faced ones, but now I'm 90% sure that I'm not going to use them - I think I'll try and find the numbered temp gauge like suggested? My friend here had his Carrera seats "re-stuffed" this winter for $50 and they turned out great. An upholster did them for him. So next winter I'm going to restain and stuff the seats too, although they're in decent shape now. Thanks again for all your help - This board rocks!

Rob,
Stuffing seats that's a great idea! My drivers has a saggy side seat (no my butts' just the right size) and I was wondering what I could do to it. Where's the "stuffer" Salmon Arm? Let me know how he did it.... Thanks

What?

I also got my seats restuffed. One strip of leather replaced and the seats restuffed for $75 each. I should have done it years ago. I no longer feel like I'm sitting on a floor mat!
Good looking pedals! I may have to check into those!
