Clutch Assembly Arm Removal 1977 with 915

I need suggestions for removing the clutch assembly arm referenced to in Wayne's 101 Projects, page 28, diagram 4, red arrow, from the shaft. I can get a little movement from the arm on the shaft, maybe 1/8th on an inch but nothing more. I have the gearbox out of the car and disconnected from the engine in preparation for rebuild. Should I just leave it alone and let the mechanic do it? What works for you guys?
Thanks,
Clinton

You see that pin on it?

You need to drive that pin out. Then the arm will fall right off! Without driving the pin out, you cannot take the arm off.

It is not directional. Although, if the last guy pounded it the $hit out of it and mushroomed the end then it comes out that end first. Although my guess is there is room only on one side to pound it out.

well? the best is use a puncher&hammer ..the direction is only one way ..from front ...if you have torch it helps to heat it up..even little hand held butane torch will help..after do not put it back no use for the pin..
Ivan..
