911SC emblem position
I am wanting to install the 911SC badge on my engine cover. The cover on the car is not a factory SC lid, so the holes are not there to mount it. I am planning to cut the studs off the factory badge and use double sided tape to mount. Can anyone tell me the measurement positioning on a factory SC lid from the grill to the badge? I have searched and read conflicting measurements.
Thank you |

On my 1980 it's 2" from the bottom of the grill to the top of the second 1. The second 1 being in the center.

It appears that Coastr's emblem is much lower than mine.

So, according to darrin's post it looks like if you have a tail, it's mounted lower. The one rusnak posted is like mine, 2" from the grill. I have taken mine off to repaint it and it was screwed on from the factory.

To be "correct to the mind's eye " do the 2/5ths - 3/5ths from the bottom to the grill. this way it always looks right.
