My dad built my mom a 3.0 turbo. He runs a single fan in front of the front cooler with an inline fuse and toggle switch. It works GREAT at low speed, but it's unnecessary at high speed. Click it on in traffic, however, and you can actually watch the temp gauge fall.
If you're really having problems, try running a two-cooler system. |
Shawn,
I have had one of the rotron fans mounted behind a Mocal cooler in the right rear brake duct of my slant nose turbo look carrera for over a year with no problems at all. I take it to the car wash etc, etc. I simply used the original Carrera relay and installed an off/on in the center consol switching the relay on. I'm in wichita, kansas and it DOES get to 110f here in the summer. so far with the a/c on max temp 215. Keith |
I moved the fan to the front. I could only get one in there and it was TIGHT! I think my cooler must sit further forward than the factory ones. There is quite a bit of room behind it. I may add a fan behind up high as well. Couldn't hurt.
