964 oil pressure in 71 chassis

Yes, it is a 911 frankenstein with a 964 3.6L engine in a 71 chassis.

Here is the gauge, key on, engine off. So there is continuity and gauge is working.

When the engine is running, there is oil pressure, but the needle is pegged at the top all the time, even at idle. So my guess is the oil pressure gauge is not correct for the 964 oil pressure sender.

So ...

1) Do I change the pressure sender to that of a 71 2L engine?
2) or Do I change the pressure gauge to that of a 964 chassis?

I'm guessing choice 2 ... is better.

Patrick Motorsports makes 2 versions of an oil pressure sender for 3.6 conversions in early cars, a single and dual pole:

This is a good solution. The other option is to replace the pressure side of your gauge with a 0-5BAR from a 3.0 gauge.

Have you got any idea where I could source one of these, other than ebay?

Sorry, I don't. Try a WTB on here. It's probably going to be hard to find just the pressure gauge so you'd likely have to buy a complete temp/press gauge. Might be cheaper to buy the sensor from Patrick.

Use a 76/77 pressure sender with the 0-10 bar
