Mini nutter at Nurburgring

Trying valiantly to keep this on-topic, check out this picture - imagine being in the Mini...

But really, check out the guyus website:

http://www.ringmini.de

Highlights include...
  • a honda powered Mini van
  • a Metro turbo powered Mini
  • getting more serious, a honda powered, 4wd Mini (and it still looks pretty normal)
  • and stark raving bonkers - a GSXR-powered gokart - check out the videos

This guy is my own personal DIY king. No offence to Mark H in particular...

But the videos!! One is of the GSXR powered kart, and is nuts. the other is a trip around the Nurburgring in the honda powered Mini Estate. It includes highlights such as cutting down the inside of what appears to be a cautiously driven (and real??) 911ST, and hanging on the tail of an early BMW M3 for minutes...

The Mini appears to have two sorts of handling - understeer and more understeer, but I've never driven one, let alone at race speed, so what would I know.

Frankenkart....??? He'll be Frankenstein if he looses it...no harnesses They'll be bolting him back together if he gets flipped out while drfiting sideways.

And lets hope it was just in the editing but the guy smoking while the driver is fuelling the kart up is real bright too

Still.....good vid
