This car torments me

I drive by it often. It just sits there. Not running, not covered, slowly dying. Twice I’ve walked in offering to buy it on the spot. Apparently the owner’s father died and he left this to the son, who brought it to his buddy’s shop a few years ago and it’s been there since.

I totally understand it’s sentimental but to me it seems much worse to just leave it outside in the elements letting it slowly rot vs keeping it safe in enclosed storage until he has the time or the money to bring it back.

Sorry. Not many people would understand this but I’m sure you guys would. Haha. I’ll keep trying!!

Been there watched many “I’m going to restore” it cars sink into the earth.

Make a cash offer. That'll get their attention.

There is a turbo in my neighborhood that is left out to rot in the elements like that. Each time when asked to sell it, the owner would say "No, I will fix it up next year..."

There is also an Alfa Romeo GTV, but at least the owner drives it.

I hear ya...

I also don't subscribe to "it's sentimental" when someone is choosing to do nothing with it... Bunch-A-Malarkey

You can do the "I promise I'll take care of it" bit that Mike Brewer does. Then he sells it on...
