Porsche Crest

The same Bosch 2.4 911T distributor was used on MFI and CIS engines, and continued to be used on 2.7 CIS engines ... all with the 6500 rpm rev-limiting rotor.

Oops, now I'm worried, I was hoping to use this as a replacement for a Marelli on a 2.2, but did the shaft size change for the 2.4 motors?

The bore in the crankcase is smaller on the 2.0 and 2.2 engines, but a machine shop can turn down the distributor shank to fit the smaller bore. It has been done by other Pelicans successfully.

The adjustment 'ear' or tab on the 2.4 distributor needs to be cut off, too ... so the steel adjustment clamp for the 2.2 distributor can be used.

Related to this discussion --
I also have a 1973.5 T with the 0231169008 distributor
This of course uses the "Backwards points" as some people call it.
Question --- does anybody have a link and/or part number for the correct "reversed" points used in this distributor ?
I have ordered 4 sets now that were supposed to be correct --- but I keep receiving "standard" points

Thanks
