If I needed to change them out every two years like we do here in CA, I definitely would. Also, you never know when you need to remove them. Plus, there will always be the lingering, "I didn't do it EXACTLY right," thought in the back of your head.

Cheers.

Yea, I will do that tonight. It'll give me some piece of mind atleast. I love realizing that I forgot something. Really makes me question myself ya know, like what else did I forget. Oh well such is the nature.

I'd look at it the other way. I'd figure that the discovery of this mistake illustrates the great care you took and the thoroughness of your review of the project.

To this day, I still wonder whether I installed the three oilpump lockwashers on my oil pump with the tabs bent correctly (1up, 1down). I'm 99% sure I did it right, but.... Even more agonizing, I go back and review my pictures, but I can't zoom in clearly enough to make them out!

I guess it's part of the fun, eh Lendaddy?

I can't believe you forgot something like this. You probably shouldn't be working on your own car.

Yes, I would go back and do it. It will be easier one nut at a time, and you will feel much better the next time you have to remove them!

Was that meant sarcastically, or do you really believe that professional mechanics always remember the anti-seize?

He is just a lil salty on me cause I was a little quick with a reply to one of his questions. No problem, I understand.

Sorry about the "salt" lendaddy. I accept your apology if you accept mine. I understand your comment about not seeing the smile on your face and I should not have replied until AFTER my initial irritation had passed.

Fair enough, No problems here. You reminded me of the bash I took on one of my first posts. Check out this thread, read my question then scroll down to the reply by "Two Oh". Now thats harsh!

General theory question time, engine sheet metal?
