Front ride height

I have reassembled the front suspension and the ride height seems very low. I tried to adjust it on either side by tightening the 11mm adjustment bolts, but even with them fully tightened the height is still very low. I am thinking that I may not have put in the torsion bars correctly or something. Do the front torsion bars have anything to do with ride height and if so how do I adjust them?

You need to jack the front of the car up, pull wheels or crank to one side so you can get at that bolt you tightened, remove the bolt, pull off the little splined arm it goes through, replace the little arm one spline counterclockwise (I think) if we're talking the pass side wheel for instance, insert bolt, readjust.

After doing, roll car back and forth a foot, bounce front bumper once or twice to settle car.

Recheck with tape measure...

I think you may have to roll the car back and forth a bit more than that. I'd back out into the driveway and drive back into the garage at least.

Heck while you're at it make a beer run and then come back and reinspect.

After a few beers that night (car parked of course), the ride height might correct itself...

I'd drive it even further than that. When I lowered my front end I drove it for 100 miles and rechecked the ride height then had it aligned. 300 miles later the suspension settled an additional 1/4 inch. I think my car is possessed.

Already had the beer so up and down the driveway it was. That did the trick. Thanks again for the help.
