Mixture settings CIS

I was reinstalling my fuel distributor tonight and noticed that there is no plug where you adjust the mixture should there be?I would assume that could be some sort of mixture problem? Vacum leak? Just want to know before I continue on.

Not a problem, just a small bit of dirty air by-passing your filter...does not affect vacuum or mixture...It'd be nice to have one, but I don't run with one...

On my 930 motor leaving the plug out does mess up the mixture. The CO goes from 3% plugged to 1% unplugged at idle. So I plug mine

Thanks for the input just trying to figure this stuff out. I kind of like carbs better and better.

But on carbs you have six mixture screws, sync adjustments and in CIS only one.

What could be simpler?

Yes but carbs are easier to do diagnostics on. I know the mixture screw deal. I have spent many days full ones at that setting my 914-6 up for different weather.

Does it make a difference? I just can't imagine running this fine of a car with dirty air flowing through it.
