Wayne Is the PP BBS server tiered??

Wayne,

Is the PP BBS server getting tired. I am getting ultrasluggish response times and lots of errors like these:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\PelicanBBS\cgi-bin\vb\admin\config.php on line 11

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\PelicanBBS\cgi-bin\vb\admin\db_mysql.php on line 38

I don't think it's the fact that I am in from Japan since all other pages work fine, even www.pelicanparts.com

Any ideas?
Ingo

Same problem here.. Sunday morning maintenance/backup?

Working fine now.. nothing like a good server(s) reboot to clean things up! or a Double Shoot Venti..

Happens to me every Sunday morn.

Figured it's a scheduled back up.

Every Saturday night, the BBS creates a static image of itself (reads 400,000 or so posts). This can be found at http://www.pelicanbbs.com/index.htm

This is done so that the search engines can index the site easily and load stuff up in Google, etc. Unfortunately, it slows down the server just a bit...
