Proper way to mount lines along passenger side

I heard some pretty bad rattling over the past few weeks but no driving issues. Finally took a look and pulled the rocker panels.

The oil lines towards the jack point look slightly flattened but I haven’t noticed any temp issues so hopefully that is fine. The third smaller line is just free Willy all the way to the front of the car. What is the proper way to mount this line in the front fender? I won’t be able to get the car up until next weekend so I have a limited view at the moment. What’s the proper way to tuck it in along the passenger side rocker panel?

Does the smaller line just clamp to the larger lines in the front fender?

Not sure what that 3rd line is for. I have only ever run / seen 2 copper oil lines up the passenger side.

I’m not positive myself but was almost too embarrassed to ask

It seems like it leads to my smugglers box where there has always been a completely destroyed charcoal canister or something? Maybe I’ll just yoink it out. Not sure if that was a euro car thing, an import requirement, or what

That is the AC return (suction) line. At least it is on my 85. The AC line mounts inside the pan seam while the oil lines are on the outside under the rockers

It almost looks like someone has replaced a section of the A/C hose with a hard line.

Send a message via AIM to fintstone
..and the A/C evaporator and fan in the smuggler's box...likely with the deteriorated foam seal on top that you are seeing.
