Help with setup of Andial twin Plug Dizzy

I have a 930 #043 01 Stamped Andial CCW twin plug distributor.

Was thinking I could use with two MSDs ignition system . Maybe not, as I tried connect the distributor to the magnetic pickup leads for the MDSs but the distributor would not trigger the MDSs. My newly rebuilt twin plug 3.0 MFI engine is running well with a SC single plug distributor using the MDS ignition system.

Does anyone know what ignition system works best with the Andail distributor or how to wire it to and MDS?

Thanks in advance for any advise you can provide.

Cheers,
dan

What kind of ignition pickup is on the inside? Was it designed for 12V points or low voltage VR? Both can work with MSD but require completely different wiring schemes.

the magnetic pickup also has a polarity to it. Reversed wires and it will not work.

An osilloscope could tell you the polarity and if you have a low voltage magnetic pickup. A multi-meter would tell you if there are points opening and closing.

Did you take the cap off and see what was inside?

Here are some pictures that may explain what I have
Looks like a reluctor trigger type like with an SC distributor but hard to tell without removing the shaft which is what I might have to do to understand what the trigger type is
