PMO’s From Empi?
I’m in the market for a set of PMO 40’s for my 2.2 liter. It looks like PMO was bought out by Empi. It sounds like they are experiencing some supply chain issues. Has anyone bought PMO’s made by Empi? What was the production time? Should I have any concerns with the quality of the carbs now that they are being built by another company? I would assume they have some sort of quality control testing,, but I’d hate to purchase a product and find out there are teething problems. Thanks for any input.

They are in transition getting their production line up and running. I think it will be while yet before they are ready. In the meantime new 40 and 46 weber carbs are available, but not as complete kits (Pierce Manifolds in Gilroy , Ca)

As he said.
Just got off the phone with Adrian. They are going to funnel it through the normal dealers. So pierce, Pklassik, PatrickMS, pelican. He said max of 2-4 weeks. Prices should be close to what they were. More al a cart now with buying just the carbs. All machinery that Richard used is now at EMPI. So as long as QC is up to the same standards, which you know how that goes, hopeful that the product will be at least as good.

Thanks for the updates. I do have a set of 40 IDTA’s that are currently on the car. I like the PMO’s and was planning on switching over to them rather than rebuilding the Webers. I’m not in a hurry, so maybe it’s best to give EMPI some time to get production dialed in.
