911SC Clutch Ailment Problem

Has anyone had a clutch ailment with Pedal feel like this below?

It has a over-center feel when pedal being pushed in. Otherwise the clutch engages doesn’t slip. As I press down with my foot, It feels normal and the just as the clutch disengages, the pedal feels like it is being sucked to the travel stop.

I have never had this feeling in any of the 911’s i’ve owned.

I’m thinking very worn disc and malfunctioning Clutch Cover.

Dissection will tell, but exploring before hand.

Any experience?

It sounds like your describing the operation of your clutch over center spring

I didn’t explain what i’ve done do far. I rebuilt the pedal cluster, replaced the cable, rebuilt the rear external clutch mechanism with new springs and bushings. Adjusted to the specs.

It isn’t easy to drive as it is.

Do you have about 1/4 - 1/2 inch free play at the top of the pedal before it begins to engage. I might suggest posting a photo of your omega spring and cable connection to your clutch arm, something might be apparent to those here.

Maybe have a helper work the clutch while you watch the linkage underneath…maybe you’ll see some funny business. Sounds like it’s a real problem. Go ahead and check your pedal stop adjustment while your under there if you haven’t already. Your free play should be correct if you set set the gap to specs … I think 1mm.
