New Fuchs wheels
I am curious if any technical person can weigh in on new Fuchs wheels…..I.e. 16 x 7/8/9
New wheels have different part numbers and weigh substantially less than earlier manufactured wheels. Thanks |
There's a few threads on the topic:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1041723-got-my-brand-new-fuchs-16x7-yesterday.html http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1037913-new-production-authentic-fuchs-wheels.html http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1077476-9-x-16-fuchs-evolution-wheel-13-15-lbs.html Quite a bit of weight savings. 20% for some sizes. |
I have a set of the Fuchsfelge wheels, and I'm perfectly happy with them.
Forged. Made by the original manufacturer. To the original dimensions and aesthetics. And even lighter than the original wheels. I can deal with not having the Porsche part number stamped on the back. |
Wheels
Y’all missed my point……they look great is NOT the answer.
I am asking if someone with technical knowledge can tell me if the new wheel is equal or better than the originAl wheel. They look great Is NOT what I am looking for. Thanks…….. |
I would think it would be better than rolling around on a 40 year old wheel.
