That's beautiful! And some serious tire!

I did something similar. I re-sized my HRE Fuchs replicas and went from 8x16/9x17 (running 245/45-16s and 275/40-17s) to 8x17/9x17 but wimped out and am now running 225s/255s.

Beautiful wheels and looking forward to the transformation. Are you still running factory spacers in the rear? I'm restoring a set of centers and have pieced together inner and out halves to make 7.5 front and 9.5 rear for the same tire size. But my rears are very deep and am pretty sure I will just have to remove the spacers to fit them in the arches.

Did you get all new hardware too? Source for everything?

No spacer on rear of blue 930. Will be using existing hardware and sealing ring. Will seal with Soudaseal 270HS. Used this sealant on the 18" OZ wheels. Worked perfect. The BBS E50 wheels are in amazing condition now, just want to size up. I like fitting alot of beef wellington under the arches.

This is where I ordered. They only accept wire transfer from USA. Anyone have experience with them? Wrong time to ask... I know. Order placed 10/11/22. Shipped 10/26 but was return to sender on 11/7. Hopefully this gets straightened out and parts arrive soon.

Dow Corning 832 sealant is readily available in the US from places like McMaster-Carr and is what is used by some wheel OEMs to seal 3 piece wheels. I've rebuilt a lot of wheels using it, following the recommended instructions, and I've never had one leak.

Excellent post! - have a similar set of 16' E50's and planning same size 17' 9 & 11.5 for the 930. What is the combination used for the rim halves, inner and outer rim sizes to avoid the spacers?

Rear = no spacers on my 1977 930. Not sure about front. I added to inside only.

These are simply beautiful DSM,... and look fab on your car.

Tell me, are you using the black rubber gaskets in ADDITION to the sealant? or sealant alone?

I have been assembling BBS E26 wheels for years now for a pure race car application using only then gaskets. never had a problem

thank you. FRank

Plan is to install large ring without rubber O-rings then seal. I’m sure the O-rings work but I prefer sealant.
