You could try a Cargraphic muffler with SSI's:

Flowmasters are carefully tuned to please the 'CHEBY' marketplace ... to turn ordinary Nova/Impala engines into something that sounds impressive to other drivers with little knowledge ... the precursors of the 'ricer' movement!

Real performance V-8's sound best with Walker [the Dynomax people] mufflers ... and have for the last 50 years! Problem is ... most of the Walker's are too large to fit under a 911! You have to use an abbreviated 'Turbo' muffler, so-named because the original application was on the 180 hp Corvair 'Turbo' model ...

My 993 has Fabspeed mufflers and they give it a nice and low growl. Not sure if this will work on your car, but perhaps an open air box cover will give yours the same sound my Fabspeed carbon fiber box cover does. I don't like it that loud, so I have the stock cover on there now.

I usually run with no muffler, just the cat and it is loud and sounds good at idle. I had to put the stock muffler back on for the emissions test that they just implemented in my county. Jeez that thing is quiet.

Do you need to modify the rear valance to use the dual outlet Dansk? I like the way it looks, haven't heard the way it sounds yet.

I hate to bring it up - but it does seem like the ideal time  :
