I'll be there with my car now that it's out of the shop. Looking forward to some hot a/c discussion...pun intended.

I am sorry to say that I won't be able to make it. I really wanted to go to hang out with the Dallas Pelicanites and examine Jack's early 911s to see what details in need to consider for my accident induced mini-restoration.
Next time please consider my schedule before making plans! ;-) Wait a second, I get it, you don't want me there...

Man, this is horrible. I have had dialog with Jack several times starting a couple of years ago beginning on the Rennlist email list (I even tried to get adopted once) One of these days I'll make it up there, but this weekend is horrible for me since I am working Sat and going to my step daughters graduation on Sun. Damn the bad luck!!

I will do my best to attend. Interesting to note: Ron Maxwell has my SC right now in his shop! He is currently performing some restoration paint work and installing a pro-cooler, of course. I dont think my car will be ready by Saturday, so I will have to make Vroom Vroom noises while I run around in a circle
AT&T is scheduled to swap their T1 demarcs in my server room that morning at 9am. Hopefully it will be a painless process and I will shoot for a 10 o'clock arrival. Ron Maxwell is a really nice guy, i think y'all will like him.

I'll be there, though the 911 won't. I seem to be having a starter problem. A high torque replacement is on order from our hosts. I heard Hooters girls dig convertibles, so I'll bring the Boxster S.

Jakermc,
I had a starter problem before the last gathering and it turned out to be the battery. The battery just died with no warning whatsoever. Try jump starting your car to see if it's the starter or the battery.

Darn the luck. I've been wanting to make one of these get togethers. Already made arrangements to wear kilts and make fun of locals at the Renn Faire. Motor appears to be coming along well so it is going back in Friday or Sunday. Keep posting for the next event!

Just got back and I can't say enough about Jack's "garage". His cars are extremely cool and perfectly maintained. The 356's look new. He graciously answered about 5 million questions about his collection and his racing history. What a morning.
Very good to meet Ron Maxwell. Very detailed discussions on the Procooler and I came away with even more respect for the product. One of the guys there just got his yesterday so hopefully he'll be able to get us some idea of it's effectiveness. Thanks to whoever talked Jack into letting us drool over his cars.
