Anybody tried the Dansk chrome-ish door handles
Looking for new door handles for my 1985 backdate. I want to move from black to the brushed/chrome look. Has anyone tried these? How was the quality? Any issues?
Thanks, Mike |

I was thinking about buying them so it would be nice to hear some feedback. Can you rechrome the originals? I imagine they have to be totally disassembled.

Just curious. Can someone supply a link to a retailer? I can't seem to find one.

I got the Dansk chrome door handle pieces in and at first look they are great. I found them for $250 shipped new for the pair. I won't be fitting them for a couple of weeks though...

Hi, I have a set that are still in the box. If you want, I can post pictures when I get back from being away. They are the trigger-happy model for a '72, but the chrome finish and build quality should be representative...
best, Dario

My experience with aftermarket door handles has not been good. Crappy finish and poor fit. Maybe these are better.

Can't speak to Dansk but the old ones were solid brass and then nickel plated and chromed.

Well, a few weeks turned into months. Anyway, other than having a buggered first thread one stud and needing to screw in the plunger/actuators all the way, they work and look fine. That is a nice quick fix. Now I need to install a remote keyless entry system.

Can these be used for those of us with power door locks, or are they just a repro of the earlier handle?

Bringing this thread back to ask whether anyone has recently installed the Dansk handles and whether they had any issues. I see Rennline makes some too and they are cheaper and I'm wondering if anyone has used them as well.
