This is sad finding Fred has passed away. I met him once at the Hershey, PA swap meet> I'd conversed with him far ~15 years as he 'will always be a member of the US PCA 1976-77 Carrera 3.0 Registry'!! RIP Fred

We've all lost a real character.
I worked for him one summer in Califon
Went for a ride in the grey 911 R ...Fred at the wheel
A lap of Bridgehampton too. In his 914 6 racer.
His Irish green 914 6 led to my obsession with 6s
A curvy buzz past the local bar (River Styx ?) at high speed....at nght
Vast knowledge freely offered.
Didn't speak to him often enough.
He will be missed

Fred was here for a couple of days at that time for a delayed visit to check on some parts he had bought and for the vintage races @ Road America Sept 16-18th to catch up with friends that were planning on racing. He had planned to come a month earlier,
but never mentioned he had been ill. He mentioned he wanted to stay longer but had to cut his trip a bit short due to, I thought he said his wife thought he should get home sooner as his elderly dog was suffering in his absence.
