Grand Prix White in rattle cans?
Wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find Grand Prix white in a spray can. I have some minor touchups I want to do and setting up the spray gun seems like a lot of overkill.

I think Sherman Williams will paint match and put it in rattle cans. I am considering this for my car. I’m afraid to just get the paint code mixed as I am sure it has failed over the years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ordered from automotive touch up. I got GP white and sprayed my frunk with it. Nice product and matches pretty good with the original frunk paint.

What kind of paint? Is it base/clear? Or single stage? What year car? If it’s original paint should be a paint code on door jam, take that to your local jobber they should be able to set you up with a spray can, it will be cheaper as well.

There are a few different "flavors" of GP white. Some is slightly greenish. Many professional paint supply houses can make up a rattle can. They usually want to make two or three cans to make it worthwhile.
If your car has original paint, it is single state paint. If it was painted in the last 10 years it might be dual stage.

An alternative way to go is to go to a local Automotive Paint supplier (who supplies the body shops) and have them mix up a pint of the color you need. Get some reducer and hardener from them as well.
When you are ready to paint, get a PreVal Sprayer (the paint supplier should have them as well). Mix-up what you need per the manufacturer recommendations and spray. https://preval.com/ If you want to reuse the sprayer, clean with Lacquer thinner. Otherwise, throw it away.

I had the local NAPA mix up a few cans and they went heavy on the green tint. Sprayed nice but looked minty green. Ended up getting a pint from the paint supply house and shooting it through a gun.

I also went to a local place and gave them the paint code for my Red Wine Metallic. It was about $12/can IIRC and the color looks great.

I've used them for GPW when I had my 86 930. Worked well for the rockers.

Great question. With it being an 88 possibly. But the guy who did the paint restoration thinks otherwise. The minimal painting I had to do was done with basecoat clearcoat. No one has been able to distinguish where I touched up.
Also my new tail and front valance were done with BC/CC. Again no issues with it blending with the existing.
