Rebuild Life
I'm looking at an 85 Carrera with about 70K on a Jerry Woods rebuild. I know there is nothing hard and fast here, but any ideas on life expectancy of a rebuild?

70K on a 3.2 is nothing. You can easily expect to see another 70K-100K if not more if it was a complete rebuild. If it was only the top end and the total mileage is over 150K you might be looking at a bottom end rebuild. Does the owner have receipts of the rebuild? I would be looking for new valve guides and possibly new rod bolts along with your usual rebuild parts.

That might be affected by what happened during the first 70k, but if nothing extraordinary, a long time barring a mechanical failure.
