Question CV Joint and door latch question

Is it possible to change the inner CV joint (Transmission) without disconnecting the wheel side? And:
What size TORX is the striker plate bolt? Is it metric?

You could change the inner CV without removing the entire axle, personally I don't think it's worth trouble. Acutally it would probably be quicker to remove the axle so you can work at the bench. Besides, when was the last time the joints were cleaned and re-packed?

Sorry, I have no idea on the Torx size.
