I appreciate your youtube videos. Just a thought on this. I remember with one of my 912’s I noticed a difference which equaled a half an inch from side to side when I loosed the engine mounts and the trans mounts, jiggled the eng/trans assembly then tightened everything back up. I couldnt figure out why so I adjusted everything till it was equal on both sides.

I know porsche would paint the fender lips with a kind of a raised, dimpled, rough texture. Might check yours to see if they are all the same.

That's interesting. I wonder if the engine and trans are centered in the engine bay. Will measure thanks!

Yes I stripped and re-did all the undercoat / stone guard on the rear of the car.

So you're the lucky one! Good to know thanks!

Ha! A lot of other asymmetries (like the depth of the torsion bushing hole for one - 5mm diff side to side! ), but maybe this tells you to start the investigation on the 10" side. Good luck and let us know what you find.

My 74 is off also. I would say past body damage, they are old cars that were not always cherished.

My 74 is similarly off

I understand the fenders measured off but do those tires look different or it's an optical illusion ?

I'll go with illusion. The perspective angle is different in the shots. Picture on the left is at a higher angle looking down so that makes the curvature of the tire greater.
