911 SC backdate latch panel/cooler install?

my 1979 back date has the correct nose panel for long hood latch.
question is, what are folks doing for the cooler in the frunk?
Shall i drill a hole through the latch panel? Waht is neccessary to maintain operation of it?

Car retains the factory A/C.

If you want to have air conditioning in the future, leave it alone. You will need to mount the fan back on, and replace the hoses and such but it is a vital part of the AC system.

Since you are cutting up the car and making it your own version, you can remove the condenser and put in a patch panel in the trunk. There is no right or wrong, it is your car, do to it want you please. It may well affect future resale, but you have already modified it heavily. If AC is not in your vision of what you want, just remove it all, and be done.
