need pic of original 86 speedometer

Hi,

I am trying to determine what an original speedometer in an 86 3.2 looks like. Did it come with a white line seperating the mph from the km markings?
Thanks

Thanks guys. Looks like I must be looking at the original speedo on the car in question.

Porsche changed from the earlier sppedo that had a solid white ring separating the MPH/KMH markings to the later style at some point during the '86 model year. My '86 which was built in March '86 has no markings. Hope this helps.

My 86 has the inner ring separating the MPH/KPH values. Didn't realize there was a difference. Any known reason why the change was made?

You can pop the speedo and one other instrument out and look at the date codes on the back. All of the instruments should have the same date code, or a very similar one, on them. If they're different, one must have been replaced.
