Mystery wire pair in harness
I appreciate the vast knowledge pool here regarding all things Porsche. I'm doing a dash recover and when I pulled instruments found this strange anomaly. Car is '86 M491 Cab, with every known option. I think mystery wire pair may have been a harness pre wire for power convertible top. Mine is manual. Wire is heavy gauge (12), small 2.5 mm spade connectors as shown.
Appreciate the input experts! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Any feedback? Timmy2, ProPorsche? I have traced it according to '86 Eleectrical schematics back to heavy Red/White wire, fuse 3, 25 amp. Appears to be for motor drive conv. top operation. Can anyone confirm with a hands on look see?
