The later, nothing is stopping them. GPS trackers are easily defeated.

So .... how do you remove that nipple to access the switch ?

do you mean the tumbler? or which nipple?
This protects the ignition tumbler against removing it and using let`s say screwdriver to start the 911 and drive away.With this device it is not possible .Even if you damage it the steering is still locked....

My first P-Car had a switch hidden in the ashtray, but that's too easy to find.

Most any switch could be found by the thief, after a couple minutes looking.

Just remove the ignition rotor and put it in your pocket! I did that for a few years.

The pros will simply tow the car away to a shop to get it running or start chopping it for the parts. They don't need it to run.

it is very simple..The rosette or other cute rings are basically decor..The point of the
911-Lockshield ™ is....
You have to remove the ignition tumbler to free the ignition switch metal rod which is inside the steering tube when the key is out and the steering is basically locked.
So, with the lockshield installed and the thief using the slide hammer trying to remove the tumbler , it is not possible as you can see on video on the previous page.
You ended up replacing the ignition switch but the car stays, if god forbids any as...e trying to take your 911.

It has saved many 911 here in Europe......and in the States too....

any details would have to be done in PM ,about removing or else....

about towing the 911 by pro thief..yes they are smart.Most of the time it is an inside job....i always suggest to park head on towards some wall or any place where the towing truck cannot access the front of the 911 .Turn wheel to one side.Hard to town it strait.
But to be honest who among us leaves their 911 for long period of a time alone?
Most of the stolen 911 here in Europe and England happens while the car is parked on big "secure" parking structures....a lot of them are every year stolen in Holland and Belgium because people do not have their own garage.

battery switch up front on the ground side and it helps my battery life so don't need a charger every two weeks before I fire it up ..

I want a kill switch at the passenger seat/glove box area....

So if I ever let some lookieloos "test" drive my car I can shut it off when they fail to follow instructions for shifting, speed, revs etc....

Want to really hide your kill switch? Wire it to multiple switches in series. Say, the defrost switch and the headlight switch. If both of them aren't on, the car won't start. No new switches, nothing fancy or obvious to find.

edit: Doh. You are correct, series, not parallel. I brained bad.

If using multiple switches, they need to be wired in series, not in parallel. You need a logical AND function, not OR.

When I was going to put an LS motor in my 87 roller I was considering putting in a motogadget M-Unit Blue. I've put these on most of my cafe racer builds and they are amazing.

- GPS
- Remote start
- Alarm
- RFID (arm/disarm).. essentially turn the bike off walk away and it's armed. get close and it's disarmed.
- Data logging (miles driven, maintenance intervals, G's, etc.)

I am thinking of routing this in my build that's pivoted to an 89 drivetrain, for added peace of mind and mileage tracking/logging for maintenance.

I had an 88 Grand Wagoneer once that the PO wired the ignition so that the left turn signal had to be on to start the car. My favorite part was that if the turn signal wasn't on, turning the key would make the horn honk. So not only would the thief not be able to start the car, but he would sit there honking the horn and drawing attention to himself. I never investigated how he had it wired but wish I had, I would do it on my 911.
