Early 911 Door Fitment/differences ?

I'd like to know if 1968 911 doors are the same as 71. I can see the earlier doors use a push button handle and the 71 a pull lever, though that's all I know.
If anyone knows, please advise.

They are different but, the same body shape. There are subtle differences in the door's interior panel to accommodate the different mounting requirements for door handles and door pockets, etc.

So, will an early door work using 71 parts?

If you're thinking of a stock 71 door, you'd need to modify the 68 door to add the mounting locations for the door card, pockets, grab handle etc. I don't know if the window regulator is different. Someone has probably done it before,,

Are the window frame dimensions the same, except for the vent window function? In other words, can an early window frame be put into a later door or are the frames different dimensions?

I was told the glass is slightly different but it’s just something I’ve heard.
