Very sad. A huge loss to the community. Such a wealth of knowledge and so selfless. We will miss him greatly.

This thread should be a sticky. Steve Weiner graciously gave so much of himself to this community over the years. In all the time I've been coming here, he was always such a kind and generous man. Willing to help those in need without hesitation. Super knowledgable, and one of the good guys. A kind soul.

I was lucky to have known him pretty well. We sat down together at a PNW swap meet last fall and just talked about stuff, not about cars but life. I'll treasure that and all the other times we hung out together.

Rest in peace brother!

I know you're cruising the highway in the sky, grabbing gears with an ear to ear grin.

Thanks for sharing your passion.

Yeah, I agree. I'll reach out to a mod.

I noticed immediately when Steve stopped posting here and on Rennlist. I remember his posts going all the way back to the Porschefans and Porschelist email lists in the 1990's. I have missed him.

Those of you that knew him describe the man I imagined just from his online demeanor. I wish I had been lucky enough to have met Steve myself.

Godspeed Steve.

Mark

I've been away from the forum for some time since I relocated back to the UK from Singapore and have just read this terrible news. I had several dealings with Steve in the early 2000's when I had my shop in Singapore and he was always super helpful and as has been mentioned in this thread, from the fist time speaking to him he was like an old friend. I also recognize so many names who are paying tribute to Steve. He will be sorely missed. RIP my friend!

Well, yes, this IS devastating. Not just to the forum, or the P car community, but to the greater society where he existed.
What an example of how to be a human.

Sigh.
