Has anybody tried this radio in thier 911?

I was thinking of buying the Blaupunkt SQR 46 It has the vintage look, but the reviews seem all over the place. Has anyone used it and if so, what is your impression of it?

VERY happy with mine -- sounds great (feeding a power amp under the passenger seat via RCA output), looks "proper" and syncs to my iPhone w/o issue. The rennline iPhone mount is the perfect accessory -- puts my iPhone right in my field of vision so I can use it for navigation/music playback/management -- If you're not needing/wanting line level outputs, the less expensive Continental brand radios are another good alternative -- search pelican for "continental radio" for more info.

Yea, I have it, and love it. The best stereo I have had in my 911 in the 27 years of ownership. It looks "right" and sounds great. Easy to use, and works great.

The display color can be adjusted as well. If you want it to sorta match your interior. I just set mine to the brightest white possible. I had it as a burgundy tone for a while to match my interior. I like the white better.

Just adding another "Works fantastic!" I did this, a small amp (right side of pass footwell) and some upgraded door speakers and it's a fantastic addition to the car.

Very happy with mine, small amp under passenger floorboard and sub under my seat. New speakers all around. Being a cab I have wind noise so needed something to combat that.

I am also installing it in a cab. What type of speakers did you use? Thanks

Timely thread. I think I need to change out the radio in my '88 coupe. It has a Clarion DRB5177 in it now that I cannot find a manual for. I can't figure out how to change the tone or speaker balance.
The car has six speakers in it and the sound in it sounds like it's all coming from a tin can on the rear shelf.
This Blaupunkt sounds like what I need. I DOES have tone or speaker balance controls, doesn't it?

It has a full EQ as well as bass/treble control, right/left balance and front/back balance. Sub out too. The built-in amp won't make your ears bleed but it gets the job done.

I love the looks of the Bremen but the Amazon reviews (700ish) are mixed to say the least on quality for this unit. Cheap fit and finish and sound for $450?

Yep, just simple knobs. One bass one treble. Super easy analog knobs. No sub menus or complex controls for that.
