Setting carrera 3.2 help / multimeter

Trying to dial in 3.2 carrera idle and came across this video. Can anyone tell me what she has these leads hooked up to that she’s reading RPM like this

this thread might help -- looks like you'd use the black wire from the O2 sensor (after warming up the car/o2 sensor) https://rennlist.com/forums/911-forum/446704-3-2-idle-speed-adjustment.html

That would be the first part of the video where they were testing the O2 sensor for functioning.

I believe the OP was wandering about the later part of the video at around the 12:30 time frame. If you look at the meter she is using it is an automotive specific meter as she has the TACH(X10) range and 6CYL setting selected. It is most likely attached to the ignition coil lead and is using the pulsed current flow at the ignition coil primary winding to determine the engine RPM.

Getting to the bottom of my 3.2 with this same tool.

It's available on Amazon.
