... what the inside of your oil pressure sender looks like? For your amusement -
This was giving me a low (~1 bar) and lifeless reading. Fearing the worst, I put the car on the trailer & cut my most-recent DE event short by a few runs ... With the aid of the trusty Dremel, I decided to do the post-mortem. The missing screw at one end of the wire-wound resistor gave a tell-tale rattle, but I don't think it had anything to do with the actual failure. The two wipers that slide along the resistor with oil pressure variation are barely making contact with the resistor. ![]() The order for a replacement sender has placed with our host! ![]() |
