Pre 1970 vs post 1970 steering rack for 911 question

Hi all,
Working on a ‘69 911E rebuild. We have a steering rack we are looking to rebuild.

I believe from 1970-onward Porsche changed the design of the steering rack.

Any experience on the differences from pre and post 1970 steering racks?

Is there any reason to consider finding the 1970-onward rather than just rebuilding my ‘69 steering rack? Photo of the steering rack attached.
