We’ll we bought this Ossi Blue this 1969 911S last week.🙋
The 1969 911 “Meme S” car made it here from Dallas to the shop on Tuesday morning safe and sound. Richard Rawlings Thank You… for everything!👍👍 It is really in quite good condition despite the way it looks!😳😳 It will get a we’ll deserved bath!😁 I can’t wait! I think it’s going to clean up and look really great!👏👏 It’s all complete which is extremely important on a one year model Porsche 911S! 😉 It actually has factory installed air conditioning. One of the first ever in a 911. The really only thing missing is the 5th Fuch spare It looks like all it’s going to need a front suspension pan, tank support a maybe a front floor pan!🤷👍 It did not come with the original engine, and I wasn’t looking for. I was going to install a twin plug 911R style engineer in it… But… shortly the stars aligned and one found me…🙋🤷 So it will be getting a actual 1969 911S MFI 2.0 liter engine!👏👏 Stay tuned it going to be a really cool project ! https://www.instagram.com/tv/CXRwrBQlmtj/?utm_medium=share_sheet https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RRUl7qNkGJk&feature=youtu.be#menu SeeYa… Don ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The 1969 911 “Meme S” project is completed!
The project Started December 2021 and was finished March 2023. It’s now getting ready to go on Bring a Trailer “NO Reserve” in a few weeks. The “Meme S” The 1969 911S is one of the rarest Porsche production street cars built. The 69 year had lots of firsts and only things! *The first year of the long wheelbase. *The only year a long wheelbase with a 2.0L S engine. *The only year with a 2.0L S had MFI mechanically fuel injected. *The first year the factory installed air conditioning. This one has them AII… A very… rare beast Indeed! Supposedly only 5 "S" coupes were equipped Factory installed Air Conditioning! This one is all original except lines and drier! Plus it works!!! This 1969 Porsche 911S Coupe was built on 3/12/1969 thendelivered through the port of Houston and finished in Ossi Blue over black leatherette upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.0L S MFI flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional factory installed equipment includes Air Condition, Tinted glass all around, Left Antenna Blaupunkt Frankfort push-button AM/FM/SW radio, White fog lights under bumper, date code Fuchs 15″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, original steering wheel. Other equipment includes H4 headlamps with chrome “sugar scoop” rings, New driver’s mirror, New polished trim, and gold badging. New USA corner lenses. This very rare S just went through a 18 month complete restoration at Air Cooled Classics in Knoxville Tennessee. The Restoration is a very nice high level one, but would not be considered a Concor one. But…Don’t get it wrong. This is a very nice car! Everything is New or refurbished! The chassis was taken down to just the wiring harness. Body stripped to bare metal and brought back up to its original configuration. The bottom and inner fenders are coated with a black bed liner material. It did have black undercoating from early on before we got it. It has a newly completely rebuilt 1969 2.0L 911S MFI engine. Build as follows: 2.0L Type #901/10 170 hp/134tq The engine-case stamping reads Type # 901/10 and serial # ☆639071☆. NOT ORIGINAL But has the complete and proper MFI 2.0 S engine that was equipped! New bearings, std. mains, std.rods, intermediate and #8 bearings, P&C, head studs, cam chains, ramps & rails, rod bolts & nuts, oil return tubes. Complete valve job with new guides, valves & springs. All gaskets & seals, New SST plug wires, distributor cap/rotor, plugs. It has all freshly painted engine tin, mount bar, cooling fan alternator assembly with shroud. New SSI Exhaust manifolds with the proper Dansik chrome tipped muffler. All the suspension components were blasted and re-painted. New bearings all around. Bushings, Ball joints. All others are the original components. The newly restored Harvey Weidman Fuchs 15″ alloy wheels were mounted with New 205/65 Michelin tires. The brakes are original four-wheel discs with the aluminum front calipers and ventilated rotors. New master cylinder, brake lines were replaced and all four brake calipers were rebuilt by PMB Performance with new pads. The cabin houses new front bucket sport seats trimmed in black leatherette.. The original Frankfort Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM/SW radio is linked with dash speaker, additional appointments include Air Conditioning, heater, three-point front seat belts, and rear jump seats. New headliner and New dashboard pad. New carpets. The Original door panels, knee dash pads, rear paneling, rear seats and door armrests and pockets. The original Recaros are included and good condition The original steering wheel sits ahead of its original VDO instrumentation that consists of a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline accompanied by a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The odometer shows 83k miles which is probably original, due to it having been setting since 1980. It was only on the road for only 11 years out of the last 54 years. The 1969 911“Meme S” Timeline. This 911 was built on March 12 1969 and delivered to the port of Houston TX. The original owner owned it from 1969-1994 In 1980 is when the last inspection sticker was issued. The owner had taken it to a German mechanic/Porsche shop in the Fort Worth area for repairs and ended up not fixing it. He bought it back home and parked out back of his house. There it sat between 1980 to 1994. “14 yrs” This from the Gentleman "2nd Owner that bought it in 1994 said when he inquired about. Owner #2 Titled In 1994 a Gentlemen from Fort Worth bought it and put it in the barn in the pictures. The car was never touched or repaired during this time. In 2001 he died and l left it to his grandson. The car still continued to set in the barn for another 20 years being untouched. This from talking with the grandson. In 2020 a Builder, realtor, and previous lead singer for the band Forever Sickest Kids a mid 80s punk rock band out of Dallas. He discovered it in the barn when going to look a perspective real estate booking for the grandson to sell the property. He was amazed what he had found, took the pictures and bought the car. He was the one that made the "Meme" that circulated around all over the Porsche community sites on the Internet. He owned it until early 2021 but never titled it. After the meme was circulated, Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey, Garage fame searched it out the owner and bought it. The way I found it was a buy a client and friend that lived in Dallas and was a good friend with Richard. He had told Richard that I was coming to Dallas, so Richard wanted me to come down look at it and give him some advice on what to do with it. I told him that was really only one thing to do with it and that was to put it back original. But that’s not what Richard had in mind when he bought it. He was thinking about making it a hot rod outlaw style car. But after we talked about what that car was, he had a change of heart about it. Richard never titled it either. Then a couple of months later in December 2021 I bought it from Richard. That’s when we started its restoration process. I’m glad to of ended up with a car to bring it back and restore it to its former glory and beauty. This restoration was finished the first of April 2023. I am technically the third owner far as the titles go. I titled it here in Tennessee in 2021. This car had only been driven for 10 years and has only 83,246 Miles on it when it came to us. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice save. Beautiful example.
They are still out there, my ex neighbor in the SF Bay area had a 69S sitting in his suburban garage for over 35 years. Big old piece of oil soaked 35 year old cardboard underneath it. |
