VIN number
OK I figured out some numbers on my Vin. 9114111115. It's a 911 4 is the year 11 means Targa so 1115 ? What I found there was no numbers found about 1974 US Targa. It said 246 Carrea Targa's for US. Anybody can help me?

Porsche VINs aren't as much fun as American made VINs, but

Where did you find the production for each country for the 1974 cars?
Total production (and noted above) was 3,110 targas produced. --------------------- Model numbers for a 1974 911 Targa has a total of ten numbers Vin Position 1,2,3 is 911 Vin Position 4 is year = 4 (1974) Vin Position 5 is Model Variant 1 = 911 Targa Note that this position has a ton of different meanings such as: 0 - 912E 1976, 1 - 911T 1970-1971, 911T/E 1972-1973, 911T/K 1973, 911 G-MODEL 110 KW, 924 92 KW, 928 177 KW, 2 - 911E, 911 G-MODEL S 118/121 KW, 911 SC, 924 74/85 KW, 928 169 KW, 3 - 911S 1.GEN, 916, 911 G-MODEL 121 KW, S 121 KW, S 129 KW, 911 SC, 924 74/85 KW, 4 - 914/6, 911 CARRERA 2.7 129 KW 1974, CARRERA 2.7 118/121 KW 1975, 924 TURBO, 5 - 911T/V, 6 - 911 1.GEN CARRERA RS, 911 G-MODEL CARRERA 2.7 154 KW, CARRERA 3.0, CARRERA RS 3.0, CARRERA RSR, 7 - 911 TURBO 191 KW, 195 KW, 221 KW, 8 - 911 TURBO 180 KW, 195 KW Vin Position 6 is sub-model 1 = 911 TARGA,, Vin Position 7,8,9 and 10 = serial number sequence 911 4 11 1115 It appears to me that the number you are looking for - does not have a reference to Carrera, if it was that fifth vin number position would be a 4 or a 6, which would be a completely different group of cars, but i could be wrong… |

I thought the last 3 numbers was the order built. The number I got from Pelican Parts 911 forum. 3110 Targa's built. It doesn't say how many sent to the US. It will be badass when it comes home. It's right now at The 900 Series Motorsports Las Vegas Nv. It's getting complete everything Twin-plug 10.25 to 1, High performance 1983 SC 3.0 and Tranny, paint and body + a lot of money. The paint will be 2022 Porsche Carrea white Metallica, and rebuilt Targa top. Roman has it. just waiting to be sent home
